Map: Maps are drawn according to IOF specifications and surveyed by the WMOC mapping team in 2011.
Size: 32 x 32 cm on both days.

Day 1. Scale: 1:10.000, contour interval: 5m, in all categories.

Day 2. Scale: 1:15.000, contour interval: 5m, in categories W/N18B, 20A, 21E, 21BR, M/F18B, 20A, 21E, 21B, 21BR, 35BR, 40, OP/Nyílt Tech.

Maps are laminated. Control descriptions with symbols are printed on the map. An extra symbol on a slip of paper will be available at the Start area (max. size 18 x 6 cm, in category M/F21E)

Maps are collected in club bags on both days after your finish in the Finish area and you will get them back after 12:00 am on 25th March.

Terrain: Mainly karst terrain with many negative land forms (dolinas, pits, gully). Generally good runnability. Several parts of the terrain are very detailed. Dangerous gullies are labelled with black „V” on the map. Avoid them. The fresh vegetation of ramsons (Allium ursinum) and rainy weather in the last month require a more careful running style. In a few areas the quality of forest roads and paths has changed due to recent foresting works. If you lose your way, go North to get back to the Finish area.

Punching System: The punching system used in Mecsek Cup will be SPORTident (SI). If the control box fails to give a signal, competitors have to use pin-punch on their maps. Hired individual control chips (e-cards) must be returned after the finish on 25th March.

Refreshment Stations: On Day 2, refreshments will be provided in categories W/N21 (at 23% and 66% of course) and M/F21 (at 36% and 60% of course).

Prize-giving Ceremony: Final results are counted with combination of results reached in two days. Prize-giving ceremony is organized at 2:00 pm on 25th March in the Finish area. The ceremony in categories N21E?? and F65 will be held in commemoration of Nóra SÉRTŐ and András BODNÁR, respectively. A separate prize-giving ceremony will be organized for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed runners in the World Cup Event.
